Teaching and Learning Update – Term 3
As we begin Term Three, I want to reflect on the many layers of learning that take place at our college. Of course, at the centre of what we do is academic learning – the essential knowledge, skills, and thinking that students develop in the classroom every day. That is our core business, and we remain committed to improving our practice to give our young people the best outcomes. With Semester One reports now available, I encourage all students and families to take the time to read through them together. It’s essential that we reflect on our progress, celebrate our strengths, and take the opportunity to set clear and meaningful goals for Semester Two.
I also want to highlight that learning at CSC extends well beyond the classroom. Our college continues to offer such a wide range of rich and rewarding extracurricular experiences. From sporting competitions, formals, music performances, camps, excursions, and themed weeks like Book Week. There is something for students to engage with that is beyond the classroom walls. Our extracurricular learning complements our academic learning and from that, we see students growing in confidence, resilience, and developing a real sense of connection. I strongly encourage all students to get involved in the cultural life of our college. Participation not only builds skills and friendships but also strengthens our community.
I look forward to another term of growth, engagement, and shared success. Let’s make the most of all the learning opportunities CSC has to offer.
