Wellbeing - part 2

Dear College Community,

As we reach the end of a vibrant and successful term, I’d like to take a moment to celebrate the incredible achievements, experiences, and growth we’ve seen across our college community.

One of the highlights of the term was undoubtedly our College Production of Mamma Mia. The talent, dedication and teamwork displayed by our students—on stage and behind the scenes—was simply outstanding. The production brought joy to packed audiences and showcased just how strong the performing arts are at our college.

Our reputation as an exceptional music college continues to flourish. This term’s Music Camp provided students with valuable time to collaborate, rehearse and deepen their skills, while strengthening friendships and preparing for upcoming performances. We’re so proud of the passion and excellence in our music program which was exceptionally presented at the Music Concert this term.

Beyond the stage, our Year 7 students enjoyed a memorable camp experience, filled with adventure, connection, and resilience-building. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to step out of their comfort zones and begin forming strong bonds as part of our college community.

This term also marked the launch of our Flexible Learning Options (FLO) program. Designed to better support the diverse learning needs of our students, the FLO program offers personalised, social and emotional education. Already we’re seeing students thrive in this supportive and flexible environment.

In the sporting arena, we’ve had fantastic success. Congratulations to our Senior Girls’ Soccer team on an excellent season so far and making it to state finals! Our Year 9/10 Boys’ Football team, who won the Sandhurst Football Carnival—a fantastic achievement and a credit to their teamwork and determination.

We also welcomed many new faces to our community during the recent Grade 6 Open Day. It was a pleasure to see future students and families explore what makes our college a supportive and engaging place to learn.

Meanwhile, our Year 10 students took part in Work Experience, gaining valuable insight into real-world careers and industries. Their confidence and professionalism have made us proud.

Importantly, this term we’ve continued our strong focus on student wellbeing. Our Calm Learning Space wellbeing workshops have supported students in developing tools for self-awareness, emotional regulation, and positive mental health—essential foundations for learning and growth.

Throughout all of these experiences—whether academic, artistic, sporting or personal—there is a clear theme: our commitment to nurturing both learning and wellbeing. I’m continually inspired by the way our students embrace challenges, support one another, and grow as individuals.

Thank you to all our students, staff, and families for your ongoing support and contributions to our thriving college community.

Wishing you a restful and safe break.

Warm regards,

Christopher Hewitt
