Production:

 Oh what a night!

What an amazing term of growth and learning we have had during Music, Choir and Class Inquiry! I am incredibly proud of each and every student of Sacred Heart - what a wonderful experience We are Monsters has been. Each class learnt each others songs and dances and the school was abuzz with excitement as we  worked together as a team!

The students were involved in many aspects of the production throughout the term - it was a real opportunity for them to be included in the decision making process and student voice being at the centre of it all.

From editing, adding in and changing certain lines to the script, to suggesting gestures, staging and dance moves - students were involved. They kindly gave positive suggestions to each other and feedback to improve the performance and the evidence of this was seen on Thursday night.

Students created the slideshow images of different songs shown in the foyer as part of Library, as well as creating the fluorescent spiders on the stage.

A very big  well done and thank you to Lauren and Aleisha in Year 5/6 who choregraphed our wonderful opening dance routine, as they were both on a family holiday this week, so their roles during the term has been assisting with dances, giving feedback and positivity!

As I mentioned on Thursday night - thanks to Rebecca for all her valued assistance this term. To Rebecca's daughter Arielle and my niece Imogen who helped organise a number of the dance routines, assisted backstage and helped with face painting!

Thanks to my son, Morgan for assisting with the sound production and giving up his holiday time to attend both rehearsals on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Theatre.

A very big thank you to  Grazia and Monica for sewing a very large number of wonderful vampire capes for us! Thanks to Prem for assisting with the raffle and Cettina for coordinating the canteen and her helpers on the night.

Thanks to all the parents for their enthusiastic support throughout the term; from practising lines, singing the songs, creating costumes and everything else in between!

I am taking a week's Long Service Leave so I look forward to seeing everyone in Week Two of Term Three!

Happy holidays,

 Kate
