Teamwork, Triumphs & Netball Thrills!

Article by Steven Da Silva | Primary Health & Physical Education Teacher

Selected Year 5 and Year 6 students competed at the WACSSA Netball Carnival. Despite the wet and windy conditions, our students showed incredible teamwork and resilience. The Year 5 girls displayed outstanding determination to become this year's champions, while the Year 5 boys fought hard to secure an impressive 2nd place. Our Year 6 girls demonstrated great spirit and teamwork, finishing in 4th place, and the Year 6 boys also battled through tough conditions to claim 2nd place. It was a fantastic day of perseverance, skill, and school pride from all teams involved. A special thank you to our staff, Mrs Cairns, Mrs Clark and Miss Girling, for coaching our teams, and to our Year 11 students, Isabelle B, Olivia E and Lily R, for umpiring and helping out the staff and students throughout the day.

Knot Your Average Lesson!

Our Year 1 and Year 2 students recently took part in a fun and interactive lace tying workshop run by Ascent Footwear. Students built confidence while practising this important fine motor skill. Pre-Primary students received their own shoelace-tying pencil cases to start practising at home before taking part in the incursion in Year 1.

Year 2 Explores WA Museum

Year 2 students had an exciting excursion to the WA Museum on Friday, 20 June. Luckily, the rain held back, allowing everyone to fully enjoy the adventure. The students explored fascinating dinosaur fossils, marvelled at the dazzling lights, and participated in a range of interactive activities. They loved being able to touch interactive screens, open hidden drawers, smell the smoky aromas, and read about all the amazing old and new exhibits, making the day both fun and memorable.
