The Australian Red Cross - Pillowcase Program

On Monday the 23rd of June grade five and grade six students participated in the The Australian Red Cross Pillowcase Program.

This term students have been learning about climate change, natural disasters and the various human impacts we have on not only Australia but the world. 

The Australian Red Cross Pillowcase Program is a disaster preparedness education program designed for children. It helps children learn practical skills for emergency situations, such as what to pack in a pillowcase as an emergency kit and how to manage their emotions during a disaster. The program aims to build resilience in children's and empower them to feel safe and in control during emergencies. 

All students had an amazing time with the wonderful and knowledgeable facilitators. Please see their work below. 

Last week Ms Figen bought us some hot chips for lunch, they were lovely! Ms Figen wanted to do something special for us because we’re always on task and working well. Thanks Ms Figen!
