Playgroup

Our playgroups have enjoyed incursions from Hume City Council Bicultural storytellers.

Bicultural story time is important, it helps children develop a sense of belonging, cultural awareness, and empathy. It also fosters a positive attitude towards diversity and promotes understanding between different cultures. For children from diverse backgrounds, it can be a powerful tool for connecting with their heritage and building a strong cultural identity.

Community Hubs Australia

Community hubs are embedded in primary schools and connect families from diverse cultural backgrounds with the wider community. They connect women and their young children with each other and their school through a variety of activities and with organisations that can provide health, education and settlement support.

MPS Community Hub timetable Term 3

We’re excited to welcome you to our Hub—a space designed to connect families with each other, with the school and kindergarten, and with local support services and community networks.

You're invited to drop in for a coffee or tea and a friendly chat! Melissa is available Monday to Friday, and Gonul—who also speaks Arabic and Turkish—is available on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

We’d love to hear from you! If you have any suggestions, ideas for future programs, or events you'd like to participate in at the Hub, please don’t hesitate to share.

At Meadows Primary School Community Hub, we encourage and support community engagement through a range of programs and services open to both the school and the wider community.
