Grade 2

Grade 2 students have been studying Charlie and the Chocolate factory this term in our literacy block. We celebrated finishing our novel study with a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Day in conjunction with the PFC rainbow day. Each class found a lucky golden ticket inviting them to a day of fun with craft, a quiz, games and a science experiment as well as a viewing of the original film ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’. We finished the day by inviting families to come and see the amazing work Grade 2 students had completed during this unit. It was a wonderful day and one that students are sure to remember. 

Congratulations Evie! Super Speak Achievement Award

A big congratulations to Evie H on receiving her Super Speak Achievement Award.

Evie received the achievement trophy presented to students who have completed 2.5 years of Public Speaking & Communication Skills training at Super Speak (equivalent to 100 hours) and presented 10 formal solo speeches.

We are very proud of her efforts!

Stem- Grade 5

This week in STEM the grade 5 students have been using our robots, including the Sphero robots, and excitingly, our brand-new Bee-Bots!

The Bee-Bots were purchased thanks to the fundraising efforts of our fantastic Parents and Friends Committee, with thanks to our school community for donating.

We are looking forward to continuing to use the Bee-Bots next term!

Grade 6- Character Strength with EMC

MC students came to teach the Year 6s about character strengths. They focused on curiosity, perseverance, honesty, teamwork and humour with an activity for each. 

We also ran a well-being lesson in class 609 and 610 focusing on personal values and HOW we can demonstrate these values through our actions and words. We have updated our display boards in the Year 6 corridor.
