Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we wrap up the term, I just wanted to take a moment to reflect on all that we’ve achieved and say a big thank you to our amazing school community.

It’s been a full and exciting few months. The students have really thrown themselves into their learning, and it’s been great to see their curiosity, creativity, and teamwork on display. From classroom projects and excursions/incursions to performances and sports days, there’s been something for everyone to get involved in and enjoy.

A huge shout-out to our teaching, support, and office staff – your energy, care, and dedication to our students makes all the difference. You create the kind of environment where kids feel safe, challenged, and inspired to do their best.

To our wonderful parents and carers – thank you for all the ways you support your children and our school, whether it’s helping with homework, showing up to events, or working with our staff. We really value your partnership and all you do behind the scenes.

Some of the highlights from this term include:

  • Author Louise Parkes, Earth, Science, Moon incursion, Mad About Science, Year 2 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Day, Milo’s Birthday Party
  • PFC Colour Run, Mother’s Day Stall, Casual Dress Day
  • Year 6 Camp, Network Leadership Day, Cross Country, Swimming
  • Maths Olympiad, Assembly Performances

I would also like to thank Merilyn Reynolds for her work during her time at LPPS. She has led the VHAP program for several years and helped our students achieve some outstanding results. We wish her well as she heads to Moorooduc PS next term.

As the holidays begin, I hope everyone takes some time to relax and enjoy the break. Whether you are heading away or staying at home, it’s a great time to recharge before we head into another exciting term.

Thanks again for a wonderful term – we’re looking forward to Ms Haddow returning at the beginning of Term 3.

Kind Regards,

Kym

We know life is busy, but there’s real power in community. We’re calling on our local legends to help with a few small projects — things we’d rather not outsource if we can keep it in the neighbourhood!

We’re currently looking for:

A licensed gas plumber for compliance checks

Carpenters for a fencing project

An air conditioning mechanic (for holiday servicing)

A landscaper for garden planning

Green thumbs for light weeding and pruning

Even an hour of your time makes a big difference. If you’re able to help or want more info, please contact the front office — Bluey, our Facilities Manager, will be in touch.

Let’s keep building a strong, connected community — together!
