Year 4 Gala Day
On Friday 13th of June the Year 4 students headed to their first winter Gala day. From all reports they had a fabulous time. Lots of new experiences for some while others played the sport they chose outside of school. Thank you to the parents that came down and watched and supported their child, it was wonderful to see.
Here are some reflections from the students
"I thought gala day was awesome and I loved the team play. It was just fun to be out there though." - Tom
"I was scared at first because we thought we would lose all our games but after our first game we won. I got confident and I knew I could never let down my friends. We won all our games with the help of Lauren and Mrs Wall. I knew Mrs Wall and Lauren would teach us well and help us have fun. We couldn't have done it without you both."-Hayley
"The day was amazing. We played six games with our team. We had three breaks and won all games. It was an amazing experience. we shared around the positions and Mrs Wall and Lauren ours coaches were the best coaches I could think of." - Paige
"The experience was amazing and I wish that it would happen every friday, and the positions were spread out perfectly. It was an incredible and unforgettable day. I can't wait to do it again. It was so fun and it went by way too quickly." - Alice
Year 5&6 Gala Day
Is happening today, the students are participating in either Netball, Soccer, AFL 9s or Teeball. They have been practising these skills and rules for each of these games in PE each week. We look forward to hearing all about their experiences in the coming week.
A big thank you to our parents - Lisa, Natasha, Craig, Anne, Jawad and teachers and LSO's that coached and supported the students on the day. These days can not run without your assistance.
Soccer Clinic
Hopefully your year 1 & 2 students came home last Thursday telling you about our incursion, and you should have also received a discount to a soccer camp that Football Star Academy run. The kids had a ball. Johnny and his team were fantastic and we will hopefully have them back again next time we are working on our soccer skills.
Have a great week ahead.
Stay safe, keep active
