Reading/Writing:
As we wrap up Term 2, it’s been a wonderful few weeks of celebrating all the hard work and learning across our classrooms. The Grade 3/4A students have proudly finished reading Charlotte’s Web and recently enjoyed watching the movie, comparing the storylines and discussing the characters they’ve come to love. The Grade 4/5A class have also completed their novel study of RUNT and were excited to watch the film adaptation, sparking great conversations about the differences between the book and the movie. The Grade 5/6A students have finished reading Dirrarn, reflecting deeply on its themes of culture, identity, and personal growth. It’s been a fantastic term of rich literacy learning.
Maths:
In Mathematics, students have been working hard on their Maths Talent Quest (MTQ) projects. These projects have given students the opportunity to apply their mathematical thinking to real world problems in creative and meaningful ways. From investigating patterns and measurements to exploring data and financial decisions, students have been busy researching, planning, and presenting their findings. It’s been fantastic to see their curiosity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills shine as they bring their ideas to life through the MTQ process.
