Bonnyrigg Spectacular 2026

We have been busy putting together our items for our spectacular performance over at Mounties on the evening of October 28th (week 3 Term 4). Tickets will go on sale in the next few weeks, as we are at an extra large venue please be sure to invite all Aunties, Uncles, Grandparents, cousins, and anyone else who would like to come and see our students shine on stage. More details to come. 

Learning Conversations Term 3

Don't forget that learning conversations will be happening all day up until 5:30pm on Tuesday 15th  September (week 9 Term 3). We will send out the link on SchoolBytes to create your booking in the next few weeks. Looking forward to productive chats about our students' learning goals and achievements. 

Check in Assessments for Years 3-6

During weeks 6, 7 and 8 our Stage 2 and 3 students will be participating in the Department of Education annual check in assessments. These are online assessments and run for about an hour each. They will provide teachers with information on what students have learned this year, and guide what we will teach next. 

                                   Week 6 - Reading for Year 3, 4, 5, 6

                                   Week 7 - Numeracy for Year 3, 4, 5, 6

                                   Week 8 - Writing for Year 6 only

Library News - Book Fair

A big thank you to the families that have made purchases from the Book Fair. All proceeds from the event goes to purchasing new resources for our school library.

Premier's Reading Challenge

The Premier's Reading Challenge closes to students on Friday 18 September 2026. If your child is participating in this years challenge, please ensue all books are entered by the closing date. 

Premier's Debate Challenge Update

Congratulations to our debating team for completing the Premier's Debating Challenge this year. Shout out to our debaters: Ryan T, Dylan D, Tyson N, Aiden C, Amelia M and Vivienne N from 5/6S. 

We are incredibly proud of your dedication and teamwork throughout the competition!

Zone Athletics Carnival

A big congratulations to the 40 students that attended the Green Valley Zone Athletics carnival recently. Bonnyrigg public school achieved 22 top 8 places with 12 of those finishing in top 3 places.

This is an excellent achievement for our school.

Aboriginal Dancers at the NRL

On the 9th of August, 5 of our Aboriginal Students had the opportunity to dance during half time of the Sharks vs Dragons NRL game at Jubilee Oval. They rehearsed at Sydney Olympic Park a week prior and then spent the Sunday at Jubilee oval practicing and collaborating with other Indigenous students from local schools. Thank you to Miss Kate and Mr Davis for supporting the students on this day. Congratulations and well done to Alethia, Dontay, Kyrie, Gensis and Ivyana.
