Grade 3 & 4 

Term 1- Week 2

Welcome to our returning families/students and our new families. This year our 4 teachers in the Middle Learning Space are Mrs Alison McKinnon, Mrs Fiona Hausler, Mrs Penni Abbott and Mrs Michelle Friend. We are joined by our LSO's- Mrs Connelly, Mrs Egan, Isaiah, Miss Alayna and Miss Tully (Fridays).

Last week, we sent home a letter to inform you all about everything we are doing Grade 3/4. Ranging from our readers, specialists days, homework, etc. Please let an adult in the space know if you didn't receive one, and we'll send one home. 

Our first few days together were designed to build connections, relationships and to learn each other's names. There was a lot of fun, get-to-know-you activities and setting our expectations of when we work together, using the prompts from the below poster

Over the next week, we'll introduce the take-home reader system. Each child is encouraged to read for 15-20 minutes four nights a week and write in their reader log (Blue folder inside a plastic pocket).
