Grade 1 & 2 

Welcome to the beginning of a new school year. We hope 2026 will be a wonderful year for everyone. The children have settled in beautifully, despite the very hot days, and have begun lots of learning.

The Religion concept for this term is ‘Community’.  We have already looked at our Horsham community and the artworks that tell a story about our home. One of these was the art work on the silos near the train station, depicting the tracker who found the Duff children, when they were lost in the bush in 1864.

Our Inquiry Unit is about understanding that we are all different and we all have talents that make us special and we can use these for good. We began by looking at our superpowers, our strengths, that make us unique. We all have superpowers because we can do lots of things.

We look forward to meeting our families over the next two weeks during the Getting to Know You meetings, and encourage all families to book a time which best suits them.
