Learn and Let Others Learn!

Stage 2 & 3 Soccer Gala Day

Holy Family has an exciting opportunity for Stage 2 and 3 to participate in the Soccer Gala Days in Week 4. Please arrive at school at 8:30am in order to catch the bus to and from the oval.

Stage Two which is Years 3 and 4 is on Tuesday, 13th of August at Koola Oval, Killara.

Stage Three Gala Day which is Years 5 and 6 will be held on Wednesday 14th of August at Montview Oval, Hornsby Heights.

Make sure all students wear appropriate footwear such as runners and no soccer boots. It is mandatory that each student supply their own shin pads and long socks.

Remember this is an exciting competition, bring your best behaviour and sportsmanship. Most importantly, have fun!

New Playground Adventures!

The Holy Family community is back, raring to go, for Term 3, after a well enjoyed holiday! It was electrifying for everybody, but especially the students to get the first glance at the completed, new playground! Lets hear what the students have to say!

Isabella - Year 2

“I like the new climbing equipment, and the bigger sandpit for the children to play in. I can’t wait to have fun on it all!”

Mrs Edwards

“I love the size of the sandpit, and the new play equipment, and to start the new loose play area!”

Olivia - Seniors

“I love the new playground, and especially the climbing equipment! I think everyone does! Also, the little bridge with the pretend river, is also so creative. The new playground at Holy Family, is almost like an upgrade!”

Jonathan - Seniors

“It’s so inclusive, and there is something for everybody - plus it’s fun to play on at recess and lunch.

Cameron - Year 3

“I like the new play equipment, it’s quite cool.”

We are very glad that the new playground has been so successful, and we hope more students to come will also love it as much as we do.

It was also very interesting to see how many students stayed to play on the new equipment, and how many went down to play soccer, on the old grass, because it was missed so much!

The playground is done, the grass is back, and the Green Team’s work is thriving! Their plants are growing tall, and on the 26 July, the Green Team are greeted by a special guest at our school, who will teach them all about their garden, and help them plant some more plants!

We thank everybody who has donated so much to the Return & Earn also, because together we have raised a lot of money for the school to buy new plants.

Holy Family is so excited to be back for more fun in Term 3, Semester 2!

Have a good weekend everybody!

Have a great weekend
