Learning and Teaching

Term 3 2024

We are moving into another action packed week. On Tuesday we are celebrating a whole school Olympics day including a big opening ceremony, giant flags, flag bearers, live scoreboard and gold medals for the winning team. I was lucky enough to spend time in two different classrooms on Friday and our students are all talking about the Olympics and engaged in watching highlights.

Science week is also fast approaching but this year we have dispersed our learning related to Chemical and Biological Science. The theme is Species Survival – More Than Just Sustainability.  Four levels have participated in an incursion or excursion related to the theme.

  • develop their mathematical talents and thinking skills in a setting where maths is regarded as fun and worthwhile
  • work with like-minded students from a diverse range of schools
  • participate in mathematical activities without the usual class room pressures
  • win prizes and rewards
  • get excited about maths! Next week tune in to read about their adventures.

At the moment our students are sharing shortlisted books for Book Week. Some of these include:
