School Success Starts with Attendance
Regular school attendance is essential for students' academic success and personal development. Attending school consistently allows students to fully engage with the curriculum, participate in classroom activities, and receive necessary support from teachers and peers. It fosters a sense of responsibility and discipline, laying the groundwork for future success in higher education and the workforce. Moreover, consistent attendance helps students build and maintain friendships, enhancing their social and emotional well-being. By being present, students can take advantage of all the resources and opportunities their school offers, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge needed for a bright future.
Kiss and Go Station
We are beyond excited to introduce the new 'Kiss and Go' station that will be located at the front of the school, directly in front of the office. This weekend will see the final touches with the painting being done, and then the official opening will be on the 12th August. The 'Kiss and Go' station is a drop off zone which will not only benefit our students, but will also assist with relieving the traffic congestion in the area. This makes it even easier for parents to drop their children off, creating an even more positive start for their day!
Play Time Clubs
We are thrilled to announce the introduction of Semester Two clubs at our school, starting next week! These clubs are designed to offer our students a variety of engaging and enriching activities during half of their recess or lunch break. We believe that clubs will bring numerous benefits to our students, and we wanted to share the reasons behind this new initiative. Some of the activities include Just Dance, Drawing and Glee Club to just name a few!
These clubs are designed to enhance the students’ school experience by:
1. Enhancing Student Engagement: Recess and Lunchtime clubs provide students with the opportunity to explore their interests and passions outside the regular classroom setting. Whether it's arts and crafts, science experiments, sports, or chess, there is something for everyone. These activities can ignite a love for learning and help students discover new talents and hobbies.
2. Promoting Social Interaction: Participating in clubs allows students to interact with peers who share similar interests. This social interaction can foster new friendships, enhance teamwork skills, and create a sense of community within the school. It is a wonderful way for students to connect with others in a positive and supportive environment.
3. Supporting Academic Performance: Engaging in extracurricular activities has been shown to have a positive impact on academic performance. Clubs can help students develop important skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management. These skills can translate into improved focus and success in their academic pursuits.
4. Encouraging a Healthy Balance: We understand the importance of a well-rounded education that includes not only academic learning but also physical and creative activities. Clubs provide a healthy balance by giving students a chance to unwind, have fun, and recharge before returning to their afternoon classes. It promotes overall well-being and reduces stress.
We are excited about the positive impact that clubs will have on our students' school experience. A schedule of the available clubs is below, as well as being displayed in every classroom for students to see. We encourage you to review the options together and support your child's participation in this wonderful opportunity.
If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s classroom teacher. Thank you for your continued support in making our school a vibrant and nurturing environment for all students.
