At RHPS we are having another fantastic term in Global Arts, a journey around the globe to discover traditional music and interesting languages!

 

Preps, 1 And 2:

This term the preps 1 and 2s have gone on an adventure to learn about France, they have currently been working on the mythical colors of France and how to say them in French, the complex numbers and how to say hello and how are you!

In music the preps 1 and 2s have been learning one of the earliest forms of music, the boom whackers! The boom whackers were a stick with a hole on both sides of the stick, when it hit the ground, the air would travel through the hole and create a large thwacking sound. Depending on the size of the boom whackers it would make different sounds and volume.

 

3/4:

The 3/4s have traveled to the hot grounds of Spain! This term in global arts the 3/4s have been learning the fascinating language of Spanish. They have also been learning to ask how you feel and other challenging sentences, they also worked on their current emotions and numbers all the way up to 30! 

In music they have been learning the ukulele and the different chords and famous Spanish speaking songs.

 

5/6:

The 5/6s have also voyaged to the boiling plains of Spain. The 5/6s have also been learning similar things to the 3/4s like numbers up to 50 they have also been learning to present I Spanish speaking country. 

In music the 5/6s  have been learning body percussion and the infamous Latino songs.

Q. Why do the French eat snails?

A. They don’t like fast food.
