Exciting Update: New Waste Management Initiative at Wheelers Hill Secondary College!

As part of our commitment to sustainability, Wheelers Hill Secondary College is implementing a new waste collection and processing system. We’ve recently changed our waste removal providers and are introducing new recycling and general waste bins across the school.

Here’s What’s Changing:

• New Co-Mingle Bins: These have yellow lids and are for recyclables such as glass bottles, plastic containers and bottles, paper, and cardboard.
• General Waste Bins: These have red lids and should be used for all non-recyclable waste.

You will find a co-mingle bin and a general waste bin side by side at key locations around the school, including the canteen, near locker bays, and by the hard courts.

Why This Matters:

By actively participating in this initiative, we all contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable environment. This aligns with our college values of respect, excellence, and creativity, and helps us take pride in our school and its achievements.
