Nomination 1: Harvey - For listening so respectfully during our visit from the Police Officer. It was wonderful to see you asking thoughtful questions and showing such interest in how Police officers keep our community safe.

 

Nomination 2: Safi - For writing a wonderful letter to your buddy Alia. It was lovely to see you describe all the things you like about her. What a fantastic job!

Nomination 1: Finn - For being such a respectful audience member during our police visit. You listened attentively and asked thoughtful questions. You made us all so proud!

 

Nomination 2: Joshua - For being a wonderful learner while exploring ‘friends of 10’. You really pushed yourself to find as many number bonds as you could, and your excitement when sharing your work with your dad was lovely to see. Amazing work, Josh!

Nomination 1: Leila - For demonstrating what it means to be a learner in our maths this week. You have applied your knowledge of ‘friends of 10’ into ‘friends of 20’. Great work Leila, you are a star! 

 

Nomination 2: Alyssa - For using a ‘can do’ attitude in your writing, and having a go on your own. You have been building your confidence and I am so proud of you. Keep it up, Alyssa!

Nomination 1: Harrison - For using one of our Literary Appreciation vocabulary words this week in conversation. You used it perfectly for what you were talking about and it was fantastic to hear you use this new word! Well done Harrison!

 

Nomination 2: Oscar - For your wonderful effort learning the ‘friends of 10’. You can recognise numbers that work together to make 10 and it’s been great to see your maths skills growing. Great effort Oscar!

Nomination 1: Archer - For his excellent design and construction skills during our Mini Makers Unit. Archer has embraced the brief and used his critical thinking skills to create and improve upon his own work. He has demonstrated that he has what it takes to solve problems!

 

Nomination 2: Layla - For her clever design and construction skills. She used her imagination to create and improve upon her original designs, even including moving parts in her Rock House.

Nomination 1: Zoe - For your amazing designs and creative thinking during our Mini Maker unit. You took great care in constructing your Candyland and even included an accordion fold and flange join. What a super effort!

 

Nomination 2: Makenzie - For your patience and perseverance during our Mini Makers unit. You are really thinking about how to join all your parts together and it is wonderful to see you so engaged making your pet rock house. Keep up the fantastic effort!

Nomination 1: Arlo - For showing outstanding creativity during our Mini Makers unit. You approached each lesson with enthusiasm and imagination, proudly designing and building your very own ‘Banana Land’. Well done, Arlo!

 

Nomination 2: Penny - You are being recognised this week for your beautifully neat handwriting and the wonderful procedural writing you created about how to make fairy bread. You took great care with your presentation and explained each step clearly. Well done, Penny!

Nomination 1:  Dim Boih - For your wonderful writer's voice and use of vocabulary during our persuasive writing sessions. I loved reading your persuasive all about how children should donate all their Christmas presents to charity. Keep up the amazing work Dim Boih!

Nomination 1: Abby - For working so hard on adding excellent detail to your writing for your group's picture story book THE LION AND THE MOUSE. You have used wonderful adjectives to describe your characters. 

 

Nomination 2: Rowen - For an outstanding piece of writing for your ‘book with no words’ page.  You brainstormed great ideas and used fantastic dialogue to express how the characters are feeling.

Nomination 1: Asher - For doing such a fabulous job during our ‘book with no words’ writing. You created an excellent page for our class picture story book, I can’t wait to see the finished product!

 

Nomination 2: Isabella - For pushing herself to try tricker multiplication equations and absolutely smashing it. Keep being a fantastic learner!

Nomination 1: Arav (6B) - For packing away the badminton nets although you’re on moon boots. Keep up your passion in learning another language. Bagus, Arav!

 

Nomination 2: Audrey (6B) - For your enthusiasm in acquiring Indonesian. The paragraph you wrote about your family members is outstanding! Bagus sekali, Audrey!

Performing Arts 

Nomination 1: Cameron E 5B - For his dedication and willingness to share his musical expertise while rehearsing and performing with the Seven Nation Army Band

 

Nomination 2: Katie J 6A - For generously giving her time to help set up for the Instrumental Music Showcase, and for shining on stage with her rock-goddess presence and outstanding drumming skills throughout the evening

Visual Arts 

 

 

Nomination 1: Heiki W (6C) - For working so conscientiously on your skate deck. You are pushing your knowledge and skills and it’s really taking great shape. Keep it up!

 

Nomination 2: Matilda L (6C) - For working so hard to complete your skate deck. You have had some challenges, but you are showing resilience and it will pay off with your final result. 
Physical Education 

Nomination 1: Archie A & Bodie J - For doing an awesome job at umpiring the soccer tournament

 

Nomination 2: Kim Kim - For always having such a positive attitude to PE lessons and performing at a high standard.
