Learning & Teaching

As we come to the end of another exciting school year, we are proud to celebrate the incredible learning that has taken place across all classrooms. Throughout 2025, our students have shown curiosity, resilience and a genuine love of learning as they engaged with a wide range of experiences across all learning areas.
In Religion, students explored faith, values and social justice, deepening their understanding of Gospel teachings and how these guide their actions in everyday life.
In Literacy, students strengthened their reading, writing and communication skills through rich texts, purposeful writing and engaging discussions.
In Mathematics, they developed problem-solving strategies, deepened their understanding of number and explored real-world applications.
Our Discovery Based Learning (DBL) units encouraged students to think critically, ask questions and make meaningful connections to the world around them.
Across all areas of the curriculum, our learners have demonstrated growth not only academically, but also socially and emotionally. They have worked collaboratively, taken on challenges and built confidence in their abilities. We are incredibly proud of the effort they have applied to their learning each day.
To celebrate student voice, we have asked students to reflect on what they have enjoyed learning most this year. Here are some of their responses:
“This year I enjoyed learning about Edward Tulane and going on an excursion to a park because we got hot chips at the end.” - Maelle (Year 2 Zoe).
“I liked learning about telling the time. I liked learning the numbers on the clock and what it means.” - William (Year 1 Steph F).
“Something I am proud of learning this year is decimals, fractions and percentages because at the start of this topic I had no idea how to do it and at the end, I understood it.” - Kristy (Year 6 Ryan).
As we wrap up for the year, we thank our students for their enthusiasm and commitment, our staff for their dedication, and our families for their ongoing support. We look forward to continuing our learning journey together in 2026!
