Year 4 Highlight

DBL: Year 4 Excursion to Melbourne Museum and IMAX Theatre
Our Year 4 students recently enjoyed a fantastic day out in the city, visiting the Melbourne Museum and the IMAX Theatre, where they viewed the documentary ‘Extreme Weather’ (PG).
The giant-screen experience brought their Geography and Science learning to life, helping them explore how natural disasters — such as wildfires, tornadoes, and melting glaciers — form and how they impact people and the environment. Students were thoroughly engaged as they learned about the science behind these powerful weather events and made meaningful connections to our current classroom investigations.
Following the film, the group explored several fascinating exhibits inside the Melbourne Museum, adding another layer to their understanding of the natural world.
It was a wonderful day filled with curiosity, excitement, and rich learning opportunities.
Our Year 4s represented the school beautifully and came away with valuable new insights into the forces of nature shaping our planet.
