Year 3 Highlight

This term, students have been developing their narrative writing skills with a focus on entertaining their readers. They have explored key features of narratives and used the 7 Steps to Writing to structure engaging stories with clear characters, settings and sizzling starts. 

Students have also begun learning about poetry, experimenting with kennings, haiku, acrostic and shape poems. 

To celebrate the festive season, they have enjoyed creating their own imaginative Christmas-themed poems, showcasing their growing creativity and confidence as writers.
