Achieving Excellence Together

Dear Families,
Can you believe there are only three weeks left of the school year? We have ticked off the last Achievement Week of the year and it was amazing to see the growth learning over the last 12 months. While celebrating our current students' achievements we were also welcoming our newest students to Albanvale Primary School. Our 2026 Preps have now had their first two session of the Transition Program, with two more remaining.
Planning for 2026 is well under way but these coming weeks we look forward to celebrating the amazing year we have had as a school community this year. Please check Compass Events and the Important Dates in the newsletter to make sure you are across all of the events your child has coming up.

One such event is Kidpreneur Market Day. Our Grade 5s have been hard at work making items to sell at the Altona Beach Market on Tuesday 2 December. We encourage any available members of our Albanvale Primary School Community to come down and support our Grade 5 students as they gain an insight into how a small business may run, all while raising money for Food Bank.
We also have our Christmas Concert coming up! You should have received a book of raffle tickets. Tickets are $2 each and all money can be returned to the classroom or office. If you sell all of your tickets we have more available, just visit the team in the office.
With our 2026 preparations, Mr Ibrahim is collecting all of the schools laptops to get them ready and allocated for next year. As a result the last couple of weeks of school will be technology free. All laptops must be returned to school by Friday 5 December (that's next Friday). You assistance in facilitating this would be much appreciated.
Importantly, on Tuesday the 9th of December we will host our 'Step Up' morning where students will move to their 2026 classes for the first time and of course meet their new teacher. Your child will bring a note home on with the all information on the day to pass on to you. Some students may be feeling a little nervous on the morning so please help them feel reassured that everything will be ok and that some times being nervous can also come with excitement. While students are in their new classes our 2026 Prep students will be joining us in their classrooms while their parents meet in the gym for a Parent Information Morning. I'd like to take this chance to welcome all the news families who will be joining us next year.
Thank you for helping us Achieve Excellence, Together.
