We are learning to identify factors using number sequences.


VOCABULARY

 

Factors: A factor is a number that divides into another number with no remainder e.g, 3 and 7 are both factors of 21 because 3 x 7 = 21. 7 is not a factor of 24 because 24 is not divisible by 7 (24 ÷ 7 = 3 remainder 3).

 

Multiple: a multiple is a number that is obtained by multiplying the given number with any whole number. For example, if it is given that 5 × 6 = 30.

Draw up a table, similar to the one below and ask your child to identify if each number is a factor, multiple or both of the number 12.
