Social & Emotional Wellbeing Program

In our program this term students have worked on understanding different emotions as well as developing their capacity to manage these emotions in a range of circumstances. We have discussed our feelings as well as understanding how others might be feeling at a point in time.

Positive self-talk is also a strategy we have begun practicing. This has allowed students to feel positive about ourselves, as well as improve student self-esteem. Last week students ended their session in our sensory room. We practiced being present, belly breathing and a range of mindfulness strategies that students can implement during their day at school and at home.

Next week our focus will be on communication and body language.
