Physical Education around our College
We had the perfect weather for our Year 7/8 teams to represent our school at the Campaspe Tennis event held at Kyabram Lawn Tennis Club on Monday 18 March.
All students conducted themselves exceptionally, with some great tennis played and amazing teamwork displayed by all. Well done to all involved!
Monday 18 March, saw 9 of our students head to Echuca College to participate in the Campaspe Tennis competition. Our students came up against some excellent competition on the day and displayed resilience by never giving up. We are proud of their efforts and very grateful to the parents who took the time to take them and support them on the day.
Year 1-6 students started the first of four table tennis sessions during Week 8, Term 1 with Michael Maskell as part of the Sporting Schools Program.
This is a great opportunity for the students to get out in the sunshine, learn new skills and enjoy our college table tennis tables.
Students enjoyed learning how to play Table Tennis and focused on hand eye coordination and teamwork skills.
Sessions will start back up at the start of Term 2.
On Tuesday 19 March, Ms Parkinson, Mr Lindeback, Ms Clarke, Mr Mellington and Mrs Souter were fortunate enough to participate in a Bike education training session. The training day involved both the practical and theoretical aspects of delivering a program.
With the assistance of a grant from ACHPER we are looking forward to purchasing a fleet of bikes that will enable us to deliver a bike education program across the college.
