2024 Music Camp

Last Friday morning 50 Musicians from year 6 to 12 departed BMGS for a weekend of music making at the YMCA Y camp at Yarramundi .The camp provided a wonderful opportunity for students to explore new repertoire  in the  mass Camp Choir, Orchestra and Concert Band rehearsals.  Stage band and Hand bells also had intense rehearsal time and the new BMGS Wind Ensemble was launched.

Despite the inclement weather, students also tried their hand at archery and the ‘Cave Maze’ activity on the Friday afternoon. Friday evening, Mr Forbes kept us all entertained with a Music Trivia quiz followed by some line dancing to conclude the night.

Thank you to all the students who attended camp and threw themselves into all the various activities. I would also like to commend the students on their cooperation in packing up the camp so quickly and effectively when we had to depart earlier than planned.   A huge thank you to all the staff who made this year’s Music Camp possible and such an outstanding success: Ms Rachel Collyer, Mrs Robyn Glindemann, Ms Kathi Downs, Mr  John Forbes and Mrs Julie Cooney.
