The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Gold Award Ceremony

On Thursday 21st March 2024, previous Kinross Wolaroi School Award participants Toby Gough and Catherine Crisp attended the Gold Award Ceremony to have their Award efforts acknowledged and be presented with their Gold Award certificates from, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO, Governor of New South Wales.

Catherine and Toby were presented to the Honourable Margaret Beazley and were able to share a moment with her Excellency. Toby also opened the Award Ceremony with the singing of the national anthem, and he did an amazing job with his rendition. It is fitting for the School community to have awareness of these significant achievements and congratulate Catherine and Toby.

The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is a global youth development program, empowering young Australians aged 14-24 to explore their full potential regardless of their location or circumstance. Kinross Wolaroi School is an approved Award Centre and provides opportunity for our students to become empowered through volunteering and community service, physical activity, learning new life skills and adventure travel.
