Time order: Use the word such as ‘first’, ‘next’, and finally’ to order explanation

 

Language features: Present tense, third person, use conjunctions

 

Cause and effect

 

Technical vocabulary: A special type of vocabulary used to explain concepts unique or specific to one particular area.

 

Diagram: A simplified drawing showing the appearance, structure, or workings of something.
