School Uniforms

School Council ask students to wear a uniform to school.  There is an expectation that the students will wear the full school uniform every day.

Generally a school uniform or Student Dress Code aims to:

  • foster a sense of community and belonging and encourages students to develop pride in their appearance
  • support Malvern Primary School’s commitment to ensuring that our students feel equal and are dressed safely and appropriately for school activities.
  • reduce student competition on the basis of clothing
  • enhance the profile and identity of the school and its students within the wider community.

Our uniform is made up of:

  • light blue shirt with the school's logo,
  • shorts, pants or skort in navy blue,
  • blue and white check dress (summer),
  • winter tunic,
  • navy blue jumper or pullover with the school logo,
  • Year 6 jumper and
  • navy blue hat with the school logo.

School bags and House t'shirts  are also available.

Our uniform is available at Bob Stewart:

150 Waverley Road, East Malvern

Parents are asked to support us by ensuring their child is wearing the proper school uniform, including ensuring their child is not wearing their local sport club jumpers.

We understand that there are times when washing is difficult to get dry (particulalry in winter), however the local sport tops are regularly worn by some students, rather than the school jumper.

The school will be developing a Student Dress Code in Term Four and we would appreciate student and parent input, please watch for COMPASS for details.
