Pupil Free Days Term 4

Please note that Term 4 will begin on Wednesday 11 October for students. Monday and Tuesday will be pupil-free days and professional learning days for teachers. 

SJB Stage 3 Public Speaking Final 

On Monday 28 August, we held our SJB Public Speaking Final for Year 5 and 6 students. All of our finalists presented a fantastic speech to students, teachers and parents. We were lucky enough to once again have three volunteers from Toastmasters to adjudicate the finals and share their knowledge of public speaking. 

Congratulations to all of our finalists. The two winners from each grade were announced on the day and will continue on to the Regional Public Speaking Final at Good Samaritan, Fairy Meadow.

Summer Uniform Changeover - Monday 4 September 2023

Students change from Winter to Summer uniforms on the Monday following Father’s Day - 4 September 2023. Should the weather be too cold or too hot, parents may use their discretion and choose for their child to wear either the summer or winter uniform in the 2 weeks prior to or following the change-over date.

Is your child's name on all their belongings and uniform?

Please check that your child/ren's uniform has been marked with their name. Sometimes names wear off.

Many students have been losing items of uniform that never seem to turn up. 

If you find another child's uniform item among your child's please return it to school. Other families will be very grateful.

State Interschools Snow Championships

Congratulations to Adelle S in Year 6 who represented St Joseph’s Bulli at the Interschools Snow Championship in Perisher last week. She managed to achieve PB’s in both of her events, which were the Snowboard Boarder Cross and Snowboard Giant Slalom. As a result she has qualified to participate in the National Championships at Mt Buller, Victoria next month!

Canteen

Open Monday to Friday for recess and lunch.

Cash purchases for snacks and drinks can be made at recess and lunchtime. Snacks and drinks can also be ordered via the new platform FlexiSchools.

Lunch orders

Orders for lunch can only be made through Flexischools.  Please note that orders close at 9.15am daily.  Orders cannot be placed after this time.

Our Canteen will be offering a variety of Lunch Packs on Tuesday 19 September 2023.

Students can pick from the following packs:

All orders must be made through FlexiSchools by 15 September.

As a celebration for our Matilda's, gold and green jelly cups will be available on this day for $2 each.

Service hours

Before School Care

7:00am – 8:30am

After School Care

2:45pm – 6:00pm

If you require the use of OOSH for your child/ren you need to be enrolled in the service prior to commencing. 

Casual bookings

If your child already uses the service and you requireacasual booking please do this viathe Xplor app. 

Before School Care: Bookings are to be made no later than 5:30 pm the night before

After School Care: Bookings are to be made no later than 9:00 am that morning

Casual booking must be made as per the times above to ensure enough staff. If notice is not provided within these time frames and the service does not have sufficient staff your child/ren will be sent to the office for collection. This is something that we all wish to avoid, so please keep in mind the time frames to help support the service.

If there is an emergency and care is needed please phone and leave a message and we will see what we can do.
