NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION AGAINST BULYING AND VIOLENCE
CONNECTONS
At KSC we recognised the National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence, with Year 12 leaders and School Captains running an activity at lunch that encouraged students to recognise ways they can connect with others at school. Connections with others is a preventative strategy for bullying.
As part of the day, our Year 7 students were able to celebrate their final session of Peer Support with their Year 10 Peer Leaders. Our Peer Support program ran through Term 1 and 2, with the Year 10s leading the Year 7s in a range of activities and games to promote positive adjustment to Secondary School including creating social connections, understanding our emotions and problem solving.
Well done to our amazing Year 10 Student Leaders who demonstrated persistence and empathy to deliver the program and form strong connections with their Year 7 teams.
