Year 4 Camp

Kaya - 4B

Splash! At camp Jungai I got to go canoeing. I was in a canoe with Nellie. When paddling, whatever side I was on, that is the way we turned. We were splashing everyone. Miss Gannon splashed us so we went back to get her but she held out lolly’s and said “Truce”. Miss Gannon then started holding out lolly snakes so people could come up and grab them. Me and Nellie split one then another one. The end came too soon. It was time to get off. It was the best time I had at camp.

Louca - 4B

The year 4s were at camp Jungai. We did a cultural session with Aunty. Firstly we painted boomerangs with sticks, it wasn't a paint brush because it made dots with the tool. You had symbols that you put on your boomerangs to make a story of your own. After you finished painting, you used a kind of tree leaf to make soap for washing your hands. Then we went outside to try throwing boomerangs. Our target was a tree and if you hit the tree you had to cuddle the tree and say sorry.

Plop, it's dinner time at Camp Jungai Sigh, I knew this day had to come but why now?

I really don't like eating at places other than home and now I have a full plate of it! I get back to my table, I finish my plate, I really did not enjoy that! It did not taste at all like pasta bolognese!

Will - 4B

The campfire was fun because you could hear the fire crackling and the flames moving with the breeze. The best part of the night was when we got to share one of our fun and funny experiences in camp. My group shared about the time when two canoes flipped and Jack fell off. When I got back to my cabin, it was hard to fall asleep because of the funny noises outside and the people in my cabin.

Louan - 4A

The chocolate moose at Camp Jungai was so good and great! I ate one and it filled me up so quickly but some people wanted more. The camp leader chose Chance and Claribel because there were two chocolate moose left. They did a challenge and the first challenge was the person that could say “mmmooossseee” the longest gots a five second head start for the second challenge. Caribel won that. So she got a five second head start. The second challenge was who can eat the moose the fastest? The camp leader did the five second head start for Claribel, and she was licking the ball of chocolate moose like a dog drinking some water, then came Chance and he ate the ball of moose with his hands! Using his hand like a spoon and it was all over him. I think Chance was the funniest! When it came to the end Claribel won!
