Fremantle College - Twighlight Tour
Gwenyth Ewens Art Awards
Parents and school communities are invited to an awards ceremony announcing its primary school student winners for the Gwenyth Ewens Art Award.
Gwenyth Ewens (1916 - 1995) a trailblazing architect and proud Fremantle identity made a bequest to the City of Fremantle in 1987 to promote the appreciation of Fremantle's beautiful buildings through an art competition for local children. The inaugural competition took place in 1989 and has been running annually ever since.
The Awards Ceremony will be hosted by historian, lecturer and broadcaster, Richard Offen. Two winners from each school will be announced and all the student submissions of paintings and pencil sketches will be on display. Students' art will continue to be on display in the Fremantle Town Hall for public view from Friday 22 September to Sunday 8 October 10:00am - 2:00pm.
Doors open from 4:30pm and commences at 5:00pm.
