SENTRAL

Dear Parents and Carers,

We invite you to attend Student Led Conferences as part of our Curriculum Week celebrations this term. Student Led Conferences are an opportunity for you to share your children’s learning celebrations and goals in a facilitated discussion with your child in their classroom.

The conferences will be held on Tuesday August 22nd in your child’s classroom.

Conferences will follow a new format:

  • Up to four families will be present in each classroom at one time, however, your child will be sharing with only their immediate family.
  • Your child will lead the conference, displaying their achievements, goals and work samples with you in a structured format.
  • You are able to ask questions and engage with your child to find out more about their learning experiences, achievements and goals. Conferences work best as a natural conversation about learning.
  • Prompt guides will be provided for parents and students to facilitate discussions.
  • Your child’s teacher will be in the classroom, assisting your child with the conference and providing support if required.
  • Each conference has a timeframe of 15 minutes and it is important that time frames are adhered to, to ensure teachers have time to prepare for the next conference.

Booking Multiple Conferences: For parents with multiple children at school, we ask that you ensure you book a separate time frame for each child to ensure there is sufficient time for your child to conduct a full conference with you.  Please see advice below.

Specialist Class Conferences are also available with limited spaces and will need to be booked separately to classroom conferences using the Specialist Class booking.  All Specialist conferences will be held in the Art Room with students sharing learning of all 4 specialist subjects at one time. Specialist teachers will be available from 3:50 pm and conferences will be 15 minutes in duration.

We ask that you sign up for your Student Led Conference via Sentral Interviews section, open now.

Sentral does not allow for multiple appointments to be made at the same time, therefore you will see one minute intervals when you log on.  Please note the starting time for ALL.

It is important to note that conferences will start at the following times:

Conferences listed at 3:10, 3:11, 3:12 and 3:13 will begin promptly at 3:10pm
