Friends of Football Quiz Night

Thank you!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and got behind the Friends of Football Quiz Night last weekend. With over 200 people in Gibney Hall your energy, generosity and (very) competitive spirit made it one to remember!

Thank you to our wonderful sponsors, donors and prize contributors, and to the brilliant team behind the scenes who made it all happen. Every raffle ticket, auction bid and table booked goes straight towards supporting the Trinity College Football Program.

In particular, a massive thank you to Bernie D, Chris Allanson and Michael Soares Poeira for their support and ensuring the questions, IT and our timelines were all on point; we really appreciate your support. We will share the total raised soon but from where we stood, it was a fantastic effort. Thank you all!

Lottery Results

Congratulations to Lindsay Toms (ticket number #15) whose Lottery Ticket was drawn at last weekend's Friends of Football Quiz Night.

On behalf of Friends of Football and Trinity College, thank you to everyone who purchased tickets in the lottery. Proceeds will be used to enhance facilities, equipment and supplies relating to the TC Football program, develop and run the related fitness program, and contribute towards the new grandstand at Waterford.

Special thanks also to Kailis Jewellery, for the donation of the beautiful "Nautical Pearl Pendant Necklace".

Friends of Football Fundraising

TC Friends of Football (FoF) is a group of parents dedicated to fostering a sense of community within the school’s football (AFL) landscape, in addition to resourcing equipment, uninforms, and other related items for the program. FoF is so appreciative of all those who contribute time, funds, energy, and other resources towards developing TC Football.

In recent years, we have seen an increased level of support by parents and friends within the community; however, there are still many who wish to be involved but are unable to commit their time or offer donations of physical goods or services for FoF events. Hence, an online donation option has been made available to make financial contributions towards the program at large, or individual event items.

Funds raised will go towards priority items for the program as a whole, and/or higher valued prizes, and tailored hamper items for FoF events.

Families are welcome to contribute as much or as little as they like, and as often as they like. Donations are not compulsory but are an easy way to support the department that supports our boys on their AFL journeys. All donations gratefully accepted.

Soccer Community Facebook Group

We are excited to announce the creation of the inaugural Trinity College Soccer Community Facebook Group - a space designed to bring together our entire TC Soccer community from Years 4 through to Year 12.

As the soccer program continues to grow, we wanted to create a central place where players and families across all year groups and teams can feel connected, informed, supported, and celebrated.

At Trinity, we are incredibly proud of the College motto, Men for Others, and we hope this page reflects those values through encouragement, inclusion, respect, and community spirit.

No matter what year level, team, or division a player is part of, every student in the Trinity Soccer program is valued. We want this group to be a welcoming and inclusive space where all players and families feel they have a voice and know they are supported by the wider TC Soccer community.

The page will provide opportunities to:

  • Share photos and videos from games and training

  • Celebrate team and individual achievements

  • Stay informed about soccer news, reminders, and events

  • Ask questions and support one another throughout the season

Most importantly, we hope this page helps strengthen connections across the entire Trinity Soccer program and fosters a positive culture for all players - from those just beginning their soccer journey in Year 4 to our senior students representing the College in Year 12.

Concussion Policy

Trinity has a Concussion Policy throughout both the summer and winter PSA seasons. There is growing and persuasive body of evidence indicating a lower rate of recovery in children and adolescents who may experience a concussion. Acting in the ‘best interest of students’, the College adopts a conservative approach to the management of a student’s concussion and their restoration to health; where their return to learn will take priority over their return to competitive sport.

This Concussion Policy is a comprehensive plan that will be followed by all staff, coaches, parents, and students in the case of concussion occurring to a student during sport training or games. Whilst the policy information and the full process that has to be followed will be sent to parents of students who suffer concussion, there are key points that parents and students have to be aware of, if possible, concussion occurs:

  1. Students who suffer a head or concussion injury during College sport will be offered First Aid at the time of injury.

  2. Students with suspected concussion will not return to play on the day of injury. A clear motto of “if in doubt, sit them out” will be followed by all staff and coaches.

  3. All possible concussion/head injuries will be reported by staff to the Director of Sport for follow up with the parents.

    1. If the staff are unaware of a possible head injury to the student, parents are encouraged to report possible concussion to the Director of Sport.

    2. Junior School Concussions will be reported to the JS Physical Education Teacher.

  4. The Director of Sport will contact the parents by the Monday after the game outlining the Concussion policy process that will need to be followed before students are able to be cleared to Return to Sport and Return to Learn.

A clear Return to Sport and Return to Learn process will be followed if a student is diagnosed with Concussion. This process will be sent to parents of the students affected.

If a possible concussion has been reported, or concussion has been diagnosed, then for the College to fulfil its duty of care obligations, students who do not provide a medical clearance letter to the Director of Sport will not be selected in a sporting team. As per the guidelines produced by the Australian Sports Commission, both the PSA and Trinity College follow a 21-day return to sport plan.

Enquiries regarding the Concussion Policy can be directed to the Director of Sport, Mr Ryan Lockyer.

PSA Code of Conduct

Families are reminded of the PSA Code of Conduct. This code outlines essential guidelines for maintaining the standard of behaviour expected within the Trinity community. You can find the PSA Code of Conduct on the PSA website - PSA Code of Conduct

Let's all continue to support our students in the right manner during every sporting event, regardless of year group, level, or sport.
