Trinity College Parent Council Supporter Merchandise - Survey Results

The Trinity College Parent Council (TCPC) would like to thank everyone who participated in the recent Supporter Merchandise survey, advertised in this newsletter and within year groups.

The purpose of the short survey was to get insight about parents’ level of interested in pre purchasing supporter t-shirts and jumpers, for PSA sport and similar external events. There were also questions about level of awareness of current Supporter merchandise available via the Online Store, and parents’ preferences for collection of any future pre-purchased items.

We received 227 responses to the survey, which is a fantastic level of participation. Thank you to all who participated.

Of the 227 responses, there was strong interest in t-shirts or jumpers with printed Trinity College branding:

  • 15 people were interested in cotton t-shirts.
  • 48 people were interested in fleece crew jumpers.
  • 66 people were interested in hooded fleece jumpers.
  • 80 people said they would be interested in any of the proposed offerings.

Almost half of the interested responses nominated that they wanted to collect from the Uniform Shop during advertised hours.  Postal or collection at a designated time and date at school or Waterford (to be managed by the TCPC), were the most common responses, respectively.

An overwhelming number of parents nominated to be contacted by the TCPC in the future, which confirmed a high level of parent interest in extending supporter merchandise. Please note: there will be a minimum order requirement before the pre-purchase order goes ahead. If any parents have feedback that they would like to share, they are welcome to send the feedback to tcparentcouncil@gmail.com.

The results have been reviewed by the TCPC with Trinity College leadership, with next steps to work with the College to co-design t-shirts and jumpers, to progress to pre-purchase orders in Term 3.

Please keep an eye out for future TCPC communications, and please support with a pre-purchase order in the very near future.  Thank you.

Submit an Expression of Interest

The Trinity College Parent Council (TCPC) calls for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from current parents willing to be involved on the Council.

The TCPC enables parents of current students to engage in and support school activities with the view of enhancing the community experience at the College. They achieve this by providing support and advice to the College Leadership Team in relation to areas of parental support. Additionally, the TCPC, in collaboration with the school, helps manage social events for the College community, including the annual Parent Ball.

The TCPC is looking to fill member positions for upcoming vacancies, with all incoming positions being for a three-year term, as standard under the TCPC Terms of Reference. While nominations are welcomed from all current parents, the TCPC particularly encourages nominations from:

  • parents with sons in Years 8, 9 or 10; and/or,

  • persons with skills in hospitality, marketing, and/or event support; and/or,

  • persons with a keen interest in supporting the organisation of the Parent Ball.

Any parent who is interested is asked to submit a brief EOI (one page maximum) addressed to the TCPC Chairperson (Mrs Bernie Dimanlig-Rankin), telling the TCPC a little bit about yourself, why you are interested in being involved and any skills, talents or ideas you could bring to the TCPC.

Please email your expression of interest to tcparentcouncil@gmail.com by 3.00pm on Monday, 6 July. The TCPC will welcome new members at the TCPC Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, 8 September.

MRC Gnome and Succulent Garden

The MRC is developing a new succulent garden and veggie patch, and we’re calling on our school community to get involved. If you have any spare succulents or cuttings, we would really appreciate your donations. We’re also adding some character to the space, so if you have a garden gnome to spare, we’d love that too!

This project supports hands-on learning, responsibility, and student wellbeing, while creating a space our students can be proud of. Thank you for helping us build something special together. Please drop any donations to the MRC.

An Ideal Opportunity to Support the College

Before 30 June

As the end of the financial year approaches, there is a timely opportunity to support the College while also accessing the benefit of a tax‑deductible contribution.

The College is fortunate to operate two Australian Taxation Office–approved Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) funds. These funds are strictly maintained to support key areas of need within our community.  Links to the donations’ website are included below.

Donations made to either of these funds are fully tax deductible for the donor.

While the College is always grateful for the generosity of our community throughout the year, contributions made before 30 June can be included in your 2025/2026 tax return, offering an additional incentive to give at this time.

Whether you feel called to help enhance the College’s learning environment through facility development, or to make a meaningful difference in the life of a student by easing financial barriers to education, your support will have a lasting impact.

Every contribution, large or small, is sincerely appreciated and directly benefits our students and broader College community.

Please note: This information is general in nature and does not constitute tax advice. You should consider your personal circumstances or seek professional advice before making a donation.
