Colour Fun Run
Thank you to our Parents and Friends Association, along with all of our wonderful volunteers, for your support in making this event such a success. We have reached our fundraising target of $5,000 - an incredible achievement! We look forward to investing these funds into improvements across our grounds, with a particular focus on the basketball/netball court, including new line marking to enhance play for our students and our community.
Class Placements
Over the next few weeks, we will begin working through our class placements for 2026. We will continue with the same classroom structures that we have in place this year. As part of this process, students will be asked to identify peers they work well with and would like to be considered to be placed with next year.
If you have any requests you would like me to consider for your child, please reach out by Wednesday 19th November. It is important that any requests are not based on general preferences such as particular friendships or specific teachers, but instead relate to genuine considerations that may significantly impact your child’s learning or wellbeing.
State-wide Transition Day
We are now less than a month away from the State-wide Transition Day on Tuesday 9th December. We look forward to supporting all of our students as they work through this process with new peers and teachers in preparation for the 2026 school year.
Marley Update
Marley is growing well and settling into his role within my family. He is working hard (most days!) within the training program we are following. Marley attends training every Thursday night with Lead the Way and is making excellent progress. Alongside his regular training and our weekly sessions, our trainers have now completed nearly 30 hours of online professional learning to support his development.
We are hopeful that, with continued training, Marley will be ready to begin working with students in the first half of 2026. In the meantime, he will continue to make regular visits to the school, remaining in the office area, where we can gently condition him to school life and maintain his training routine.
Positive Behaviour System – Whole-school Reward
Our students have been doing a fantastic job responding to our new Positive Behaviour Expectations. This is clearly reflected in the number of tokens earned for demonstrating these behaviours across the school. I am confident that this may be the week we reach the total required to trigger our whole-school reward.
Camp and Grade 2 Late Night
Our Grade 3/4 students will embark on camp next week. We wish them all a fantastic time, and we especially hope our Grade 3 students enjoy their first camp experience.
Our Grade 2 students will also take part in their Late Night at School as preparation for future camps. I look forward to joining them for dinner and a movie next Friday.
Warmly,
