Since our immersive excursion to Twisted Science at the beginning of Term 4, students have been conducting their own experiments in class. Under Miss Ashleigh’s guidance, they have explored melting points (using different types of chocolate!), thermal conductivity, and friction. The students have really enjoyed these hands-on investigations, and we still have several exciting experiments to come!

Over the past month, students have been learning about biographies. They have explored the structure of a biography and identified the key features that make an effective one. Each student has researched a famous person, collecting interesting facts and information, and will now begin drafting their own biography based on what they have discovered.
Mr Brendan’s Maths group has enjoyed conducting their own surveys and creating pictographs and column graphs based on the data they collected. Through this process, students have learnt about the key features and criteria needed to design accurate and effective graphs.

Students have been learning about Mary and the Holy Rosary. They explored the significance of the Rosary as a form of prayer and reflection, learning about the different mysteries and how each one helps us focus on key moments in the life of Jesus and Mary.
To celebrate All Saints’ Day (on Saturday 1 November), students participated in a creative activity where they learnt about the lives of different saints and how each showed courage, kindness, and faith in their actions. They reflected on how they can follow these examples in their own lives, showing the values of compassion, service, and hope in our school community.
Kind regards,
Mr Brendan, Ms Ashleigh and Ms Sue.
