2025 HOUSE SPORTS DAY
šāāļø 2025 House Sports Day ā Rain Couldnāt Stop Us! ā
What a fantastic House Sports Day we had last week! Even though there was a little bit of rain, everyone showed great spirit and had an amazing time.
Students took part in lots of exciting events, including the sprints, long jump, 1-lap fun run, vortex throw, and a super fun obstacle course. There were big smiles, loud cheers, and lots of encouraging words as everyone gave their best effort.

There were 3 new school records set on the track this year!Ā Congratulations to:
Thanasis - Year 1 boys 70m sprint - 12.79 seconds
Rasha - Year 3 girls 200m - 37.48 seconds
Noah W - Year 4 boys 200m - 30.99 seconds

The annual Year 6 400m championship race was again super competitive!Ā The girls race was won by Mackenzie, while the boys race was won by Kester who finished just outside the school record time that was set last year.Ā Ā

A huge thank you to all the SJV staff and parent volunteers who helped make the day run so smoothly -Ā we couldnāt have done it without you!

Other SJV Sports news.....
Also held last week were the 2025 School Sport Victoria State Track and Field Championships. Ā Mason P from year 3 had qualified in the 9/10 Year old Boys Discus final with some amazing throws at Divsion and Regional level. Ā Being the only 9 year old in the field, Mason placed 6th overall. Ā Such a fantastic result throwing 28.03 metres (which in itself a new SJV school record!) Ā Congratulations Mason - we know there are many more amazing results in your future!
