The clothing swap shop has been rescheduled to Friday 28 November!

The Sustainability Committee has designed this swap shop in an effort to fight fast fashion and to protect our environment!

We are looking for clothing donations from each student to make this swap shop a success! We ask students to bring in up to 8 good quality items of clothing that no longer fit them, and can be reused by others. No socks or underwear please.

Each child will receive ‘shopping tokens’ for the amount of pieces they have brought in and will be able to use these to trade for new clothes.

We ask that students bring these clothing items into the 5/6 C classroom by Wednesday 26 November

Parent Helpers - If there are any parents that can help with setting up the shop and manning the tables while teachers bring their classes through, please let Melissa Cornell know. Contact via email mcornell@spballarat.catholic.edu.au

Congratulations to all students who took part in St Patrick’s 2025 Sports day. Students competed in a range of running, throwing and jumping activities that saw them earn points for their respective houses. All students showed fantastic sportsmanship throughout the day and should be incredibly proud of their efforts. Some of the highlights of the day included included the Foundation students taking part in their first ever Sports day and kicking the day off with the sprints, seeing students cheering each other on as they competed in the events and the year 6 students enjoying the egg toss and completing one final lap at their last St Patrick’s Sports day.

St Patrick’s 2025 Sports day was one to remember with one of the closest finishes in recent  memory. Greenhouse broke a 22 year drought and came out the champions for the day just beating out gold house by the barest of margins with just 4 points between them.

Special mention to all parents and families that were present on the day. Thank you for your support whether it was jumping in to assist with events or following the students around and cheering them on. The community's support throughout the day helped the Sports day to run very smoothly and make it an enjoyable experience for all so thankyou!

Well done to all year level champions and congratulations Green House: 2025 Sports Day Champions!

Interschool Cricket

Congratulations to the students who competed in the interschool Cricket competition on Wednesday the 5th of November. St Patrick’s sent along a boys A grade and Girls A grade team to Alfredton Reserve to take part in cricket matches against other schools from the Ballarat area. Students managed the wet and boggy conditions well and both teams managed to win 3 games each resulting in them just missing out on moving to the Greater Western Region finals in a few weeks time. Students should be commended on their great sportsmanship towards the other teams and their willingness to substitute for one another and allow everyone the opportunity to bat, bowl and field. Special thank you to all the parents and families who came along to support the students throughout the day. Your support is greatly appreciated. Well done everyone!

GWR: Girls A grade Tennis

Congratulations to all of the 5/6 Girls that took part in the Greater Western Region Tennis Competition on Tuesday the 11th of November. As the winning team of the A grade girls Eureka division last month the team got the chance to play in Colac and compete against other division winners for a chance to be GWR champions. Students played a mix of singles and doubles against other teams from the GWR. Although the girls didn’t win the competition by all accounts they competed well throughout the day and showed a lot of skill and determination. Well done girls!

Special mention to Naomi Glasson and Elizabeth Fernandes for organising transportation for the students as well as supporting them on the day while the girls were competing. Your willingness to help out is greatly appreciated by both the school and the students so thank you.
