This week in Maths we are learning about money, identifying Australian coins and sorting them into groups.
VOCABULARY
Money/Currency: The coins or paper bills of a country that are used to buy things or pay for services.
Sort: To identify similarities and differences among a set of objects and group them accordingly.

Coin Sorting
Materials: Different denominations of Australian coins.
Activity: Ask your child to sort the coins into groups based on their size, colour or value. Discuss what each coin is worth and its unique features, like the designs on the coins.
