Class 3 News

Dear Class 3 Parents and Carers, 

I hope you have had a wonderful holiday, whether you were having adventures at home or at a far away place.  

Our first Main Lesson for this term is Farming and Gardening. The children are already loving this very practical Main Lesson, as it is relevant to our whole year. At the end of last week, we harvested the grain that we planted near the beginning of the year. It is incredible to harvest the grain and to experience that full circle from grain, to sprout, to fruit, to harvest, and then to see those dry little grains, ready for grinding or to be planted once again. 

I have given the children the shelter project assignment sheet with what is expected of them. They are very excited about it but there are a few children who seem unsure, so please go through it with your child again if they are feeling uncertain.  

Some great resources are in our school library, and I am also happy to photocopy colour pages of any information your child may need from books in our classroom. 

The children will make display posters to go with their shelter in class time near the end of the project. 

The Term 4 Parent Teacher Meeting (and last class meeting of the term) will be Wednesday 30th October at 6:45pm. I know this might be an awkward time for some of you and my apologies if this is the case, but I am aiming for it to be finished by 7:30pm.
