Foundation

It is week 3 and we have already done so much and still have lots more to go! 

Production

Last Monday and Tuesday night we had our whole school Production ‘Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies’. Foundation students had fun dressing up as skunks and performing their dance. All their hard work and effort definitely paid off and we hope you all enjoyed it just as much as they did. 

Literacy and Inquiry

Last week, students learnt about soft c where c makes the sound /s/ and this week they are learning about soft g where g makes the sound /j/. In reading we read ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’ and students made their own bridges, which linked into our Inquiry unit. They then wrote a procedure on how they built their bridges. This week students will continue to write procedures linked to our Inquiry unit. 

Numeracy

In Numeracy, we have been looking at collecting, organising and analysing data, and this week we are looking at shapes. Students will be combining these two concepts together during the week with lots of fun activities planned. 

Swimming

Next week we have swimming at Aquanation. Please see Compass for further information. We encourage all students to dry and dress themselves as there will be no parent helpers allowed in change rooms. It is also important that all items are labelled in case they get misplaced.
