Secondary Sub School News

Hello Secondary Team,

Can you believe we’re already in Week 3? Time is flying by, and it's wonderful to see the amazing programs at our school. I recently spent some time at the coffee cart and had the chance to witness our students in action—it was great to see! It also made me crave a nice cup of coffee.

I would like to thank all of you for your flexibility and support, especially when we have a colleague who needs extra support or is unable to be replaced. Your teamwork makes a significant difference.

I would also like to remind everyone that reviews of Professional Development Plans (PDPs) will be taking place in the coming weeks. This is an excellent opportunity for you to reflect on your progress and accomplishments in relation to the goals you set during Term 1.

A friendly reminder that there will be a camp meeting this Thursday at 3.20 in the Yaluk Building conference room. It would be great if you could make it.

Here are some key dates to remember, I am sure I have missed a few but will add to these as the term goes on.

Endeavour work experience for the next 8 weeks for Room 22 students. Liz T and Cathie T will be supporting the students.
SSG meetings will be starting soon. Please make sure all meeting times are scheduled and that you have the necessary data and goals prepared for discussions with parents. This is an important opportunity to ensure we continue providing support for our students.
Coffee Bus Incursion – Monday 28th October 2024. Ahmad and Jacob will be completing accredited training over the 2 weeks. Other students will be doing some non-accredited training on one of the Mondays.
Professional Practice Day – 4th November 2024
Melbourne Cup – 5th November
Group 1 Camp. (Leaving 25/11/24 Back on the 27/11/24)
Group 2 Camp (Leaving 04/12/24 Back on the 06/12/24)
Curriculum Day – 13th December
Last Day of School – 20th December: Students finish at 1:00 pm
