In Term Four, students will participate in Literature Circle Groups, where they will read the same book in small groups and take on different roles to guide their discussions. These roles will focus on skills such as identifying figurative language, making inferences, predicting future events, and discovering new vocabulary. Through collaborative discussions, students will explore the author’s purpose, connect prior knowledge to the text, and analyse the use of literary techniques to convey meaning. This deep engagement with the text will enhance their reading comprehension and critical thinking skills.

Writing/Spelling/Grammar
Students will reflect on their personal strengths and experiences as they craft formal pieces of writing tailored for leadership roles. This learning will enhance their ability to use formal language, structure their writing for clarity, and select words that highlight leadership qualities. The focus on formal writing skills will be essential as they prepare to take on leadership responsibilities next year.
