Acting Principal's Message

Thank you St Andrew's Community!

Dear Families,

Another big week at St Andrew's with the announcement of our new principal, school and vice captains have been chosen, our 2025 Prep students had their first transition, the Parish Fun Fair happened on Saturday AND we had the amazing St Andrew's Got Talent! show on Tuesday.

New Principal Announcement

The Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools has completed the appointment process for a new principal for St Andrew's Primary School. We are pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Martin as the next Principal of St. Andrew's Primary School, commencing in January 2025. We are excited to welcome Brian to our school community.

NO U-Turns on Bunney Rd

With the tragic event that has occurred this week, we are reminded to share that there are to be absolutely NO u-turns on Bunney Rd. We will be monitoring this and taking extra precautions to make sure all drivers are following the expected road rules outside our school. Please remember there are lots of young children and families dropping off and picking up around school hours and we all need to think of safety before convenience.

2025 School Captains

We congratulate the children who have recently been appointed as our School Captains for the 2025 school year. We also acknowledge all children who nominated for leadership roles and specifically those who delivered speeches, endeavouring to take on the Captain or Vice Captain role. Leadership positions were allocated taking into consideration the student voting, as a priority, after interviews with school leadership and meeting with specialist staff and year 5 and 6 class teachers.

Leadership badges will be presented at the end of school year mass taking place on Tuesday 17th, December at 9.00a.m.

2025 Enrolments

As we continue the planning process for the 2025 school year, we would greatly appreciate if families could notify the school if your child/ren will not be returning to St. Andrew's in 2025 as soon as possible.

Any current families that are yet to enrol 2025 Prep students are asked to do so as a priority as our 2025 Prep Transition begins next Wednesday and we would like all new Prep families to be involved in this program.

Students not returning in 2025

As we plan ahead for 2025 classes, we ask any families who know that they will not be returning to St. Andrew's in 2025 to inform the school as soon as possible by clicking on the button below and filling in the form or email me at nblack@saclaytonsth.catholic.edu.au

2024 School Calendar

The 2024 School Calendar is available on the School Website. It can be found mid-way down on the front page under the heading ‘WHAT’S ON’.   We will endeavour, where possible, to remain true to the dates on the 2024 calendar. We recommend that parents regularly visit the school website to see updates on all school events.
