Teddy Bears' Picnic and Kindy Visit 

On Tuesday 29th November, the Preps held their annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic and Pyjama Day. The day was filled with teddy themed activities including a word hunt around the junior playground, creating teddy bear crowns to wear for the day, writing stories about our teddies, measuring and sorting our teddies for Maths and writing a profile about our teddies to be able to introduce them to our classmates. Before recess we all gathered on the oval as a year group to enjoy eating our lunch together with all our prep friends. It was such a fun day!

It made me really, really, happy because we ate lunch outside and we got to wear our pyjamas - Gabriel (PB)

We had a teddy bear picnic on the rug. We did so many teddy bear activities. When I got home it was my teddy’s birthday - Freya (PD)

Glen Education Caulfield South Kinder visits CSPS

On Wednesday, 30th October, around 30 kinder kids from both the 3 and 4 year old groups made the big walk across the park and up the hill to visit CSPS. They were very excited about their excursion and for some it was the first time visiting a school.

Prep A were gracious hosts and made cards to welcome the children to our school. We talked about how kinder and school were different, with the Preps offering insights such as ‘You can't just do what you want.’ and ‘We get to play with our Year 5 buddies.’ Our kindy friends were lucky enough to see our butterfly and chrysalis, and were happy to watch as we set our butterfly free.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our wider community, with our Preps and teachers very excited to see some siblings and neighbours in the kinder group.
