I hope everyone enjoyed the opportunity to take a breath across the Melbourne Cup weekend, as we quickly move towards the mid-point of the term.
As this edition of the newsletter is published, students will be participating in our major fundraiser for the year, the ‘splash ‘n dash’ colour run. Thank you to event organiser Melinda Reid, our Parents’ Association President Jess Tuszynski, Aviva Sloane, our very own Stephanie Sim, and all of the contributors who have made this event so special. A particular thanks too to Jackie Dzienciol for her tireless work in sourcing sponsorship for the event, and to Katherine Horseman for her outstanding design work on our advertising materials. Thank you to our students, who have been incredibly creative in finding ways to raise funds for their school, and to all families and friends who have contributed towards this project. A huge thanks as well to the major sponsors of this event, Gary Peer, Woolworths Metro Caulfield South, Standout Projects, Kush Diamonds and SoccerWise who have also very generously donated funds to this project.
Yesterday you will have received the 2025 Parent Payment Arrangements. Your contributions towards our school are valued. We thank you in advance for contributing what you can to make our great school even better. Please also note, as always, that if you require financial support, the schedule outlines a variety of ways the school can support your child/ren with camps, excursions and learning materials.
Similarly, families will receive the 2025 booklist schedule next week. The school has moved to a new provider this year, Office Corporate and Education, who were able to provide both better value for and quality of products. We have included some notable additions to the booklists this year to enhance learning for students, including:
Families may wish to source the materials on the booklist from their own preferred provider. If this is the case, please contact our office administration team, who will help you to source access to these above items.
We continue to progress through the workforce planning process for 2025 and integral to this is our enrolment numbers. Weekly reminders are being sent via Compass, both for prospective 2025 enrolments and for students leaving in 2025. This information is critical for us to plan class placement accurately. If you have not shared information with us already, please ensure you do so as soon as is practicable.
Thank you to our staff for their work on our most recent whole-school curriculum day. Staff moderated work samples, compared student assessment and collaborated on student reporting information. This process continues throughout the term, and we look forward to sharing the student reports with you prior to the conclusion of the school year.
Thanks for your ongoing support and keep doing your best.
