Sports News
We wrapped up a big year of sport with our last interschool competition against Sacred Heart last Friday. Grade 5 and 6 students had the chance to play a variety of sports including cricket, volleyball, netball, soccer, tee ball or hotshots tennis. All of the sports were played in the right spirit and everyone had a great time.
As 2024 comes to a close and the end of the year is fast approaching, I would like to personally thank everyone that has helped in some way, shape or form with sports at St Mary’s during my time as sports coordinator. Sports play a huge role in our lives and are essential in building community, fostering teamwork, and developing essential life skills in our students. Over the years, I’ve witnessed incredible moments of perseverance, camaraderie, and growth both on and off the field. Whether it was through coaching, officiating, cheering from the sidelines, or assisting with logistics, your contributions have made a significant impact and brought a huge amount of joy to students at St Marys. Your dedication has not only enriched the sports program but also helped shape our students into confident, resilient individuals.
